Works underway on Outer Harbor Greenway
Wednesday, 1 May 2019
The missing link of the Outer Harbor Greenway will be built for people cycling and walking between Chief Street and East Street through a $1 million South Australian Government-funded project.
Works have commenced to construct the shared use path behind the Bowden Heritage Precinct between East Street and Chief Street at Brompton, with completion expected in early July, weather permitting.
This section will link recently-constructed segments of the Greenway by Torrens Rail Junction to the south and Torrens Road to River Torrens (T2T) to the north and will link the north western suburbs to the CBD, and improve access to Bowden Station.
Until this section is complete, the section of path between West Street and Chief Street will remain closed. Path users should follow local detours.
The 19.4km Outer Harbor Greenway joins Adelaide to Woodville, Port Adelaide and the Outer Harbor.
