Pedestrian ramp upgrades for Port Road/Woodville Road
4 March 2019
Safety will soon be improved with the upgrade of pedestrian ramps on all approaches at the intersection of Port Road and Woodville Road, Woodville.
From this week, pedestrian ramps at the intersection will be upgraded to meet current Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) standards.
While the majority of construction work will be undertaken between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, some weekend and night works may be required. Works are expected to be complete by late April, weather permitting.
Roads will remain open to traffic with minor lane restrictions and a 25 km/h speed restriction will apply while workers are on site.
The safety of workers and the general public is paramount so please take care when travelling through work zones.
DPTI thanks motorists for their patience while these important safety works are carried out.
