Onside with Adelaide United to kick off exciting new partnership
Friday, 20 October 2023
Kick off the 2023/24 A-Leagues season with free travel across the Adelaide Metro network for all Adelaide United games at Hindmarsh Stadium.
Under a new partnership between the State Government and Adelaide United, travel will be free on all Adelaide Metro buses, trains, and trams to allow Reds fans to travel to and from Hindmarsh Stadium easily and conveniently, with a valid match day ticket.
Additional tram services will run post-match, while the Royal Adelaide Hospital tram services will extend to the Entertainment Centre stop to help fans travel into the city from across metropolitan Adelaide and then transfer to the tram.
To celebrate the club’s 20th year, an Adelaide United Anniversary tram featuring some of the club’s most iconic faces like Isaias, Cassio, Eugene Galekovic, Travis Dodd and Isabel Hodgson will in service until mid-November.
Additionally, as part of a new THINK! Road Safety campaign, players Lachlan Barr and Dylan Holmes will also feature in social media videos aimed at younger fans discussing the importance of road safety, while fans at the game will be reminded to Stick to the Speed Limit through in-stadium messaging.
These initiatives form part of South Australia’s Road Safety Action Plan 2023-2025 to reduce lives lost and serious injuries on our roads.
Passengers are encouraged to visit www.adelaidemetro.com.au to check their timetable in real time and plan their trip with Adelaide Metro’s journey planner.
