King William Street asphalting works
Friday, 19 July 2019
Asphalt works will be underway on King William Street from 7pm tonight (Friday, 19 July) until 6am Tuesday, 23 July, weather permitting, as part of the City South Tram Line Replacement Project.
The works will involve profiling and asphalt placement on King William Street, between South Terrace and Gouger Street/Angas Street.
Traffic detours will be in place from 7pm tonight until 6am Monday, 22 July, and again from 7pm Monday until 6am Tuesday, July 23, to complete the asphalt works. Permanent line marking will be undertaken at night later next week.
Northbound detours into the city will start from 7pm, while southbound lanes will remain open until 11pm to assist with traffic departing the AFL game at Adelaide Oval.
Pedestrian access will be maintained on King William Street footpaths during these roadworks. Pedestrian access is also planned to be reinstated at each of the east-west intersections from early in the week commencing Monday, 22 July.
We thank you for your patience and understanding during these works.
