Painted medians to be installed on Fosters Road
Friday, 26 April 2019
Safety for all road users on Fosters Road will be improved through a $1.95 million South Australian Government-funded painted median project.
Painted medians will assist in separating traffic, providing sheltered right turn lanes into side roads and reducing the risk of rear end collisions.
The project will begin at 9am on Monday, 29 April, with completion expected by late June.
A combination of day and night works will be undertaken, with day works occurring between 9am and 4pm on Monday to Saturday. However, some additional weekend works may be required.
Night works will occur between 7pm and 6am from Sunday evening to Friday morning to minimise traffic impacts and ensure the safety of road users, pedestrians and construction workers.
All roads will remain open to traffic during the works, with a 25km/h speed restriction in place while workers are on site.
Lane and other speed restrictions may apply, but the department will ensure that access to properties is maintained.
The project is funded through the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure’s Improving Critical Road Infrastructure Program.
