Completion of safety improvements to the McIntyre and Montague Roads intersection
Monday, 26 November 2018
The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) has completed an upgrade of the McIntyre Road intersection with Montague Road, Modbury North, reducing the risk of right turn crashes.
The safety upgrade included extending the length of the right turn lane on the eastern approach of Montague Road, modification of traffic islands and changing of the traffic signal sequence.
The $413,856 project was funded by the Federal Government’s Black Spot Program.
Black Spot projects make an important contribution in reducing the national road toll under the National Road Safety Action Plan 2018-20.
The department appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation whilst these important works were undertaken.
