Wednesday, 16 May 2018
The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) will be installing two new indented bus bays on Hampstead Road from Thursday 17 May 2018, weather permitting.
Works include:
- Bus Stop 28 (east) Hampstead Road, Northfield, will relocate further south in front of the Chemist Warehouse - approx 95m south of current location.
The bus bay will be constructed first, with the bus stop then relocated once complete. - Bus Stop 24 (east) Hampstead Road, Lightsview (in front of the Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre).
A temporary bus stop will be located approx 70m south during the works. A new bus stop will be constructed 15m south of the current location once the bus bay is complete.
Speed and lane restrictions will apply on Hampstead Road in the vicinity of the works and signage will be in place to alert motorists of the changed traffic conditions. Road users are requested to take extra care when workers are on site, and observe traffic signage and restrictions.
Works will be conducted on weekdays between 9am and 4pm with access to properties and businesses maintained at all times.
