Potential boating hazard near Penneshaw
Tuesday, 5 April 2022
Boat operators are urged to be aware of floating hazards in and around Penneshaw Harbour and Backstairs Passage following a truck accident at Penneshaw earlier today.
The accident, near Christmas Cove Marina, resulted in a number of 2m cubed crates from the semi-trailer entering the water.
Mariners should maintain a proper lookout and navigate with caution in this area and report any navigation danger or floating objects.
The Department for Infrastructure and Transport is monitoring the situation while assisting SA Police and the Country Fire Service.
