Shepherds Hill, Ayliffes & South Road intersection partial closure

As part of road resurfacing works for the Darlington Upgrade Project, traffic restrictions will be in place at the Shepherds Hill Road, Ayliffes Road and South Road intersection from 8pm Friday, 18 October until 6am Monday, 21 October.
Details of the traffic arrangements are outlined below:
- Shepherds Hill Road will be closed between Main South Road and Burbank Avenue. Motorists will be required to detour via Main South Road and Sturt Road. Local access to Burbank Avenue will be maintained via Shepherds Hill Road.
- The dedicated left turn slip lane from South Road to Ayliffes Road will be closed. The left turn movement from South Road will be available from the through lane within the intersection, with motorists detoured onto the eastern side of Ayliffes Road.
- Access to the lowered motorway will not be available from Ayliffes Road. Motorists will need to detour via Main South Road, Sturt Road then Marion Road to use the Southern Expressway on-ramp at Marion Road. A reminder that the Southern Expressway on-ramp from Main South Road at Flinders Drive is also closed for piling works.
