Safety improvements for the Fleurieu Peninsula
Wednesday, 20 March 2019
More than $460,000 will be spent improving roads at two locations within the Fleurieu Peninsula.
The Department will commence works this week to undertake shoulder widening and sealing at the following locations:
- Inman Valley Road (Yankalilla - Victor Harbor Road), between Doctors Hill Road and Torrens Vale Road at Yankalilla
- Goolwa Road (Mount Compass - Goolwa), from 1km north of Deep Creek Road at Mosquito Hill
These Australian Government Black Spot Program funded projects will improve safety for motorists by reducing the risk of ‘run-off road’ type crashes.
Work will be undertaken Monday to Friday between 7:30am and 5pm with expected completion in mid-April, weather permitting.
The road will remain open to traffic with minor lane restrictions. A 25 km/h speed restriction will apply when workers are on site, with a maximum 80 km/h speed restriction in place.
The safety of workers and the general public is paramount so please observe speed limits when travelling through work zones.
The Department thanks motorists for their patience while these important safety works are carried out.
