Heysen Tunnels routine maintenance works

Motorists are advised there will be partial closures of the Heysen Tunnels to allow crews to carry out essential maintenance for electrical systems.

Every effort will be made to reduce the impact on motorists by conducting these works during off peak times.

The below lane restrictions and applicable detours will be in place:

Sunday 28 January

• Crafers bound tunnel lane restrictions (closure of two lanes) from 6pm Sunday 28 January until 6am Monday 29 January
• Adelaide bound tunnel lane restrictions (closure of two lanes) from 6pm Sunday 28 January until 6am Monday 29 January

Tuesday 30 January

• Adelaide bound tunnel lane restrictions (closure of two lanes) from 6pm Tuesday 30 January until 6am Wednesday 31 January
• Crafers bound tunnel lane restrictions (closure of two lanes) from 9pm Tuesday 30 January until 6am Wednesday 31 January

Thursday 1 February

• Adelaide bound tunnel lane restrictions (closure of two lanes) from 6pm Thursday 1 February until 3am Friday 2 February

Emergency vehicles will have access to the tunnels at all times. Speed restrictions will be in place at this location while the maintenance work is undertaken.
