Travel free to New Year’s Eve celebrations
Wednesday, 27 December 2023
Whether you’re off to the beach for seafront fireworks or heading into the city to ring in the new year, leave the car at home and let Adelaide Metro do the driving.
Travel on all Adelaide Metro buses, trams and trains for free from 5pm Sunday, 31 December through until 6am Monday, 1 January 2024.
For cricket fans attending the annual New Year’s Eve Big Bash League blockbuster at Adelaide Oval with the Adelaide Strikers facing the Melbourne Stars, free travel is available all day on Sunday, 31 December 2023. Additional bus, train and tram services will run before and after the game.
Due to New Year’s Eve celebrations at Glenelg and in the city some service disruptions to buses and trams are expected, including stop closures and bus detours.
Passengers are reminded that prior to New Year's Eve services commencing, a normal Sunday timetable will operate on 31 December.
Regular fare Adelaide Metro services will resume from 6am Monday, 1 January 2024.
Check your timetable in real time and plan your trip with Adelaide Metro’s journey planner.
