Notice to Mariners No 15 of 2023 (Temporary)

HARBORS AND NAVIGATION ACT 1993
SOUTH AUSTRALIA – RIVER MURRAY– MANNUM TO WELLINGTON – FLOODPLAIN LEVEE BANKS
To protect damaged levees as a result of the flood event between the townships of Mannum and Wellington on the River Murray, it is recommended Mariners adhere to:
- A 4-knot speed limit to all vessels operating within 250 metres of any engaged levee.
- A person must not moor, anchor, or secure, or cause to be moored, anchored, attached, or secured in any way any vessel to an engaged levee.
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the area.
