Notice to Mariners No 54 of 2022 (Temporary)

HARBORS AND NAVIGATION ACT 1993
SOUTH AUSTRALIA – SPENCER GULF – BOSTON BAY – ARNO BAY– RESEARCH EQUIPMENT DEPLOYED
Mariners are advised that research equipment has been deployed at four locations around Louth Bay and Arno Bay
1. Louth Bay S 34° 34’ 13.6” E 135° 59’ 48.4”
2. Louth Bay S 34° 34’ 27.2” E 136° 07’ 20.8”
3. Arno Bay S 33° 56’ 29.5” E 136° 37’ 16.8”
4. Arno Bay S 34° 01’ 43.6” E 136° 36’ 13.5”
The buoys are marked with a Special Mark yellow and 600mm in diameter, spherical shape with a spar 900mm above the surface of the water.
A yellow flashing light Fl Y 2.5s, range 1 nautical mile is fitted on all locations.
The research equipment will be deployed for up to 12 months.
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the area.
