Free public transport to first AFLW Showdown

South Australians are invited witness history as Port Adelaide takes on the Adelaide Crows in the first-ever AFLW Showdown on 30 September 2022 at Adelaide Oval – with free public transport available.

Those heading to the game can take advantage of free public transport from 4.30pm on all bus, tram and train services to and from the city on Friday 30 September, with Adelaide Oval bus services and additional train and tram services operating to accommodate crowds.

AFLW Showdown I will mark the first time the two South Australian AFLW teams have gone head-to-head on the field and follows a long line of historic women’s firsts that are unique to South Australia.

In a huge boost for women’s professional sport, the game heralds a new chapter for the next generation of young South Australian women, who, until recently, could only dream of playing professional football for their state.
