Update on Vehicle Identity Assessment (VIDAS) services
Thursday, 10 February 2022
The Department’s Vehicle Identity Assessment (VIDAS) facility at Lonsdale will remain closed this week due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 Omicron outbreak on staff availability.
However, the VIDAS facility at Naweena Road, Regency Park is open. Customers attending the Regency Park office are asked to be patient as the centre is experiencing high demand and is operating at reduced staffing levels.
Owners of vehicles written-off due to light or heavy panel damage in the hailstorm event in late October 2021, and who intend to keep the vehicle, no longer need a vehicle inspection. In these instances, registered owners may attend their nearest Service SA Customer Service Centre to have the Written Off Vehicle Register codes removed.
It is hoped the inspection facility at Lonsdale can be reopened next Wednesday, 16 February 2022.
The Department apologises for any inconvenience to customers affected by these closures.
