Update on restrictions to boating and water activities on the River Murray and Lake Bonney
Water users are advised that a number of updates have been made to flood-related restrictions to boating and water activities at Lake Bonney and on the River Murray.

Additional restrictions on boating and water activities on the River Murray
For the safety of all river users and to protect critical infrastructure, further restrictions on boating and water activities are now in place on the River Murray, including at Ral Ral Bridge and Paringa Bridge.
River Murray flood update: Closure of Mannum Ferry Passenger Service and Wellington Ferry
The Department for Infrastructure and Transport advises that Ferry Road, Wellington East will be closed at 12pm today, Wednesday, 28 December due to rising water levels.
Tender released for Strzelecki Track upgrade
A tender has been released for the next section of works on the Strzelecki Track, which will see the roadway reconstructed and sealed.
Free passenger ferry service at Mannum to support the community
A free passenger ferry service between Mannum and Cowirra will offer locals a temporary option for accessing essential supplies and services within the Mannum township while the regular ferry is out of service due to rising floodwaters.
Boating and swimming temporarily banned on the River Murray
An immediate ban on swimming, fishing, boating and other recreational aquatic activities has been imposed on the River Murray between the SA border and Wellington to protect infrastructure and the safety of river users and property owners.
Lefevre Peninsula upgrades to support growing defence industry
Workers in South Australia’s growing defence industry - as well as local residents and visitors to the state - will benefit from a $53.5 million road upgrade on the Lefevre Peninsula, as part of a broader $100 million package of road and rail infrastructure improvement works co-funded by the state and federal governments.
River Murray flood update: Kingston Road to close from 7am Thursday 22 December
With River Murray water levels continuing to rise, Kingston Road at Moorook will be closed to all vehicles from 7am tomorrow morning (Thursday 22 December).
