Notice to Mariners No. 35 of 2024 (Temporary)
SOUTH AUSTRALIA – CAPE JERVIS – NEW PORT INFRASTRUCTURE
Mariners are advised that the following changes will be made in July 2024 at Cape Jervis as part of the construction of the new port infrastructure.
Removed permanently:
The existing navigation beacon (Fl WR 2s, range 5 nautical miles) located in position:
35° 36’ 24.01”S 138° 05’ 35.38”E
Installed:
A new temporary port hand beacon (Fl R 2s, range 2 nautical miles) will be installed at the end of the northern breakwater:
35° 36’ 23.7”S 138° 05’ 32.2”E
Approximate position.
A new temporary starboard hand beacon (Fl G 2s, range 2 nautical miles) will be installed at the end of the southern breakwater:
35° 36’ 23.2”S 138° 05’ 36.7”E
Approximate position.
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution when transiting the area.
