Notice to Mariners No 39 of 2019 (Temporary)

SOUTH AUSTRALIA – GULF ST VINCENT – OCHRE POINT – FLOATING RESEARCH STRUCTURE

Mariners are advised that a two metre square floating research structure has been deployed near Ochre Point north of Maslin Beach. The structure is located approximately 350 metres from shore in approximate WGS84 position 35° 13’ 17.0” S, 138° 27’ 48.0” E, and has a 1.2m bright yellow pole with a yellow light Fl Y (3) 30s, range 1.5 nautical mile. The structure will be deployed for approximately 36 months.

Mooring to this structure is prohibited. Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the area.
