National prequalification system for non-residential buildings
The National Prequalification System (NPS) applies to South Australian Government non-residential building contracts. It is required when the estimated construction cost is $50 million or over.
The Australasian Procurement and Construction Council (APCC) developed the NPS together with state and territory jurisdictions. This was done as part of a Council of Australian Governments initiative.
The goal of the NPS is to have one prequalification system across Australia. When there is mutual recognition of a contractor's prequalification, it prevents duplicated effort.
For details about the NPS, visit APCC.
How to apply
If your head office is in South Australia, you must apply with us to seek prequalification. To do so, complete APCC's application form for NPS: Non-Residential buildings and send it to us.
If you are prequalified with another jurisdiction, you can apply for us to recognise your NPS prequalification. To do so, complete APCC's application form for registration for mutual recognition and send it to us.
