Genuine collaboration
We collaborate with Aboriginal people through:
- supporting their career development
- advancing economic and business participation
- establishing meaningful partnerships and engagement.
Culturally safe workplace
We create a culturally safe and respectful workplace. We advocate for mutually respectful relationships between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people.
We do this by developing and implementing initiatives that support and strengthen:
- cultural identity
- the spiritual and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal people and communities.
Support Aboriginal communities and build community capacity
We support Aboriginal engagement and build community capacity by:
- supporting Aboriginal communities through the delivery of improved infrastructure and services
- implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Employment Strategy, that includes employment initiatives
- implementing the Department’s Reconciliation Action Plan
- implementing the Department's Closing the Gap targets.
