PIRSA undertook a travel survey in November 2007 which identified a demand for secure bike parking. An extremely popular 21 bicycles compound has now been constructed in the basement of 25 Grenfell Street.

PIRSA has also established a Bicycle User Group (BUG) which has been working to raise cycling awareness at PIRSA by;

• encouraging staff to participate in Ride Work Days
• making staff aware of cycling facilities during induction
• distributing articles and newsletters including;
• CE’s Snippets article – “Get on ya bike”
• PIRSA Corporate Matters Newsletter article – “On ya bike”
• PIRSA Primetime Magazine article “On ya bike”
• BUG intranet pages.
