Adelaide's North-South Corridor

The North-South Corridor is one of Adelaide’s most important transport corridors. It aligns to the following strategies:

It will be the major route between Gawler and Old Noarlunga – a distance of 78 kilometres. Freight vehicles will also use it.

For more than two decades, the South Australian and Australian Governments have invested significantly in upgrading the North-South Corridor.

To date, approximately $4.8 billion has been invested to upgrade 67.5 kilometres of the corridor to motorway standards, which enables connections locally, regionally and nationally.

The North-South Corridor provides essential transport links to local residents and businesses, as well as to key employment centres and international gateways, including Adelaide Airport and Port Adelaide.
