Mawson Road, Battunga Road and Nottage Road Intersection Upgrade Project

Mawson Road, Battunga Road and Nottage Road Intersection Upgrade Project

Upgrading the intersection of Mawson Road, Battunga Road and Nottage Road, in Meadows.

Delivering safer and improved roads in the Adelaide Hills
Making it safer for pedestrians and cyclists
Improved access for heavy vehicles

About the project

The intersection of Mawson Road, Battunga Road and Nottage Road in Meadows has been identified as a key location in the Adelaide Hills that would benefit from safety upgrades.

A single-lane roundabout at Mawson Road, Battunga Road and Nottage Road intersection in Meadows has been identified as the best treatment for improving safety at this location.

The roundabout was selected as the preferred treatment as it aims to deliver:

  • improved safety and traffic efficiency for all users throughout the intersection

  • new and upgraded crossing facilities that provide safer pedestrian and cyclist movements at the intersection, including new raised pedestrian crossings, and pedestrian crossing refuges

  • improved functionality and access for heavy vehicles.
