Change to weather broadcast
4 November 2011
The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) is making some changes to the high frequency broadcast schedules of weather information to mariners in all states and territories.
As a result of a schedule reorganisation, from November 15 the coastal waters forecasts and observations for South Australia will be discontinued from transmitters at Charleville, Queensland (VMC schedule).
The information will continue to be broadcast on Wiluna, Western Australia (identifier VMW) at the existing times, which are 0300, 0700, 1100, 1500, 1900, 2300 CST.
Warnings will continue to be broadcast, on the hour, from both VMC and VMW.
For Wiluna (VMW) frequencies, see the BOM website.
