The lifeboat from MS Oliva will be permanently on display in Kingston S.E. in South Australia after the insurer reached an agreement with a local salvage company.
A Kingston company will remove the 20-person lifeboat from the beach near Salt Creek and place it in the town's National Trust maritime display near the Cape Jaffa lighthouse.
The lifeboat is from the MS Oliva which ran aground on March 16, 2011 on Nightingale Island in the South Atlantic Ocean.
