The new safety reference guide released for kayakers and canoers has been welcomed by paddlers across South Australia with more than 8,000 copies distributed so far.
The Kayak and Canoe Safety Reference Guide was published in June in response to the growing popularity of the human-powered water sports.
The 30-page waterproof booklet was designed as a quick reference guide to the most important safety rules while on the water.
Copies have been snapped up by sporting clubs, equipment retailers, schools and individuals who paddle in open water and along the state’s rivers.
It is a companion guide to the South Australian recreational boating safety handbook.
