Service SA has been advised of an incident where a customer was contacted directly by someone claiming to be from Service SA.
The customer was advised their registration was out of date and was asked if they would like to renew it. Credit card details were requested.
This is a scam and Service SA will not initiate contact with any customer for the purpose of advising their registration is expired and offer to renew.
What to do if you receive a call like this
If you receive such a call, do not respond. Report the incident to www.scamwatch.gov.au, or to your local police station, or contact the Police Assistance Line on 131 444.
