Belair line to reopen from Saturday 30 December

CONNECT - Message from the Chief Executive

3 January 2018

Adelaide Metro advises customers that the Belair train line, which is currently closed to facilitate the essential works needed to maintain the long-term usage and safety of the rail line, will reopen from first service tomorrow.

The Belair line closure was timed to coincide with quieter periods on the rail network and the shutdown of the parallel freight track (operated by Australian Rail Track Corporation) to undertake maintenance works.

Free substitute bus services will cease from last service tonight (Friday 29 December) and normal paid Adelaide Metro train services along the Belair line will resume from first service Saturday 30 December 2017.

Adelaide Metro reminds customers that the Outer Harbor and Grange rail lines will remain temporarily closed until January 2018 while works continue for the Torrens Rail Junction Project.

For more information visit or call the Adelaide Metro InfoLine on 1300 311 108.

Adelaide Metro’s free metroMATE app for Apple or Android also provides real-time information about services and details on disruptions and delays.

Adelaide Metro would like to thank commuters for their patience during these works.
