Repairs to Gorge Road embankment now complete

CONNECT - Message from the Chief Executive

4 December 2017

The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) has now completed embankment works and reopened Gorge Road, between Cudlee Creek Road and North East Road.

The works repaired the storm damaged road embankments with the installation of a retaining wall and the completion of some scaling work to reduce the potential for rock falls on Gorge Road.

The traffic detour in the area to facilitate the site works has also now been removed.

The $500,000 works were funded through the State Government’s Critical Road Maintenance Program.

DPTI thanks road users and local residents for their patience and understanding while these improvements were undertaken.
