The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure advises motorists that Stage 3 of the $80 million City Tram Extension works along King William Road, between North Terrace and the Adelaide Festival Plaza, will be completed on Monday, 6 November 2017.

Speed restrictions on King William Road will be lifted from 25km/h to 40km/h by Monday morning peak following the completion of daytime works.

Some speed restrictions will be required to facilitate ongoing finishing works between 8.00pm and 6.00am each night from Sunday evenings to Friday mornings until late 2017, weather permitting.

The U-turn facility near the Festival Plaza has been permanently removed.

Stage 4 works for the City Tram Project are expected to commence in the new year.
