Enhanced Traffic SA to help road users plan quicker, more efficient journeys
12 October 2017
The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) has updated South Australia’s real time traffic website, Traffic SA, with key features that will allow users to better plan their travel.
With the latest update, users can now select from several time periods including the existing live traffic information to show the map and incidents or road works in real time, traffic information and restrictions scheduled for future dates, and also view past traffic information retrospectively.
Additional project information has also been added, where possible, to map markers including direction affected, lane restrictions and speed zones.
South Australian road users are urged to take advantage of the new Traffic SA features to help avoid traffic congestion and plan quicker and more efficient journeys.
These features will be particularly useful for road users in coming months to avoid areas affected by the large number of important major and minor road projects currently underway across metropolitan Adelaide that have a significant impact on traffic flow.
Traffic SA previously provided a real time map and list of current roadworks, incidents and events underway in metropolitan and country areas, including road closures and delays.
