Road Works for South Road / Port Road Intersection
27 September 2017
As part of the $896 million Torrens Road to River Torrens Project, pavement and asphalt reinstatement works will occur at the South Road intersection with Port Road over the long weekend, from 8pm Friday 29 September to 6am Tuesday 3 October 2017, weather permitting.
Temporary traffic arrangements will be as follows.
From 8pm Friday 29 September to 6am Tuesday 3 October
- South Road will be temporarily closed to southbound traffic between Forster Street and Port Road.
- Port Road will be temporarily closed in both directions between South Road and Rose Street.
Traffic delays can be expected and signage will be in place to alert motorists, pedestrians and cyclists to the changed traffic conditions.

These works have been scheduled over the October long weekend to minimise the disruption to road users.
Businesses in the area will remain open. Please support local businesses.
Bus routes 150, 155 and 157 will be affected during this time with detours in place. Signage will be in place at affected bus stops to direct passengers.
