Traffic switch on South Road between Tait Street and Pym Street
20 April 2017
As part of the $896 million Torrens Road to River Torrens Project, the T2T Alliance will be switching traffic onto the new South Road northbound surface road, between Tait Street and Pym Street, Croydon Park.
From 7pm Thursday 20 April to 6am Friday 21 April 2017 and from 7pm Friday 21 April to 1pm Saturday 22 April 2017 South Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Hotchkiss Crescent and Overland Road. South Road (northbound) will be reduced to one lane between Torrens Road and Tait Street.
In addition, from 7pm Thursday 20 April 2017 motorists turning left in to South Road from Tait Street will not be permitted to use the temporary u-turn facility near Tait Street. This will be a permanent change to traffic arrangements.
Right turn movements will not be permitted in to or out of Sunbeam Road at South Road. Left turn movements in to and out of Sunbeam Road will be maintained. This will be a permanent change to traffic arrangements.
Speed restrictions will apply in the vicinity of the works and signage will be in place to alert motorists to the changed traffic conditions. Road users are requested to take extra care when workers are on site, and observe traffic signage and restrictions.
