Load limit of Morgan Ferry reduced temporarily

31 March 2017

The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) advises that the Morgan Ferry has been reduced to a load limit of 16 tonnes effective immediately.

This is as a result of a recent inspection and DPTI will restore the ferry to its full load limit as soon as possible, after undertaking minor rectification works.

We apologise for the inconvenience.

UPDATE:
The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure advises that the 16 tonne load-limit currently in place on the Morgan Ferry applies per vehicle.

The total load limit of the ferry is currently 90 tonnes.

The ferry will be closed on Thursday 6 April 2017 from 9am to 3pm for repairs. During this time, motorists are advised to cross downstream at Blanchetown Bridge or upstream at the Cadell Ferry.

Please note that the Cadell Ferry also has a 16 tonne per vehicle load limit.

We apologise for the inconvenience.
