Grange rail line partial closure Tuesday 14 February to Sunday 19 February 2017
2 February 2017
The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) advises that the Grange Rail Line will be partially closed from 7:00pm Tuesday 14 February to Sunday 19 February 2017 to facilitate the Women’s Australian Golf Tournament at the Royal Adelaide Golf Club.
More than 31,000 people attend last year’s Australian Women’s Open which generated an economic benefit of $6.5 million to the State.
The partial closure will occur in two parts:
- On Tuesday 14 February, from 7pm to the last service, the line will be closed from Woodville to Grange. This is to implement safety controls to isolate the level crossing at Seaton Park which will allow trains to terminate there for the duration of the Golf Tournament. Substitute bus services will be in place between Woodville and Grange.
- From the first service on Wednesday 15 February to the last service on Sunday 19 February, the line will be closed from Seaton Park to Grange. This means only Grange East and Grange stations will be impacted with substitute bus services in place.
Services will return to normal from the first service on Monday 20 February 2017.
Please allow extra time when travelling on the dates listed above. For detailed timetables and information on substitute bus services please visit www.adelaidemetro.com.au
