D3 Digital Challenge #4 – Schoolkids on the Move winners announced
28 October 2016
Three teams have been awarded the D3 Digital Challenge Launch Pad Award – a $15,000 grant to turn their idea into a prototype to encourage kids to travel actively and safely to and from school.
Nine teams stepped up to the challenge to pitch their ideas at an event at the State Library, with Newventive, Team Fujitsu and Ediki all taking out the Launch Pad awards.
Newventive were awarded for their DropZone activation tool and digital marketing campaign, Team Fujitsu for their phone application with virtual rewards to engage children in active travel and Ediki for their school sharing communities’ adaption of MyCarpools.
Move It Kids were recognised with the new Design Process Award, which recognises good process, development of skills and capability and a real focus on the user. ElectronicallyE was recognised with the People’s Choice award for Moova, a wearable digital wrist device.
The three Launch Pad winners will now have four weeks, with support from mentors and government, to deliver a prototype and next stage proposal to be presented to the Office of Digital Government and DPTI in early December 2016.
The event was proudly supported by our department, together with the Office for Digital Government as part of the Open State PitchFest.
