DPTI Media Alert - Heysen Tunnels restriction due to rockslide clearing

CONNECT - Message from the Chief Executive

16 September 2016

The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) advises motorists there will be a partial closure of the Heysen Tunnels from 7pm until approximately midnight tonight (Friday 16 September) while crews clear and stabilise the site of a rockslide caused by Wednesday’s severe weather.

To accommodate these works the Adelaide bound tunnel will be closed with traffic diverted via Eagle on the Hill Road.

Debris on and near the road has already been cleared for motorists' safety.

DPTI urges motorists to drive carefully and to the conditions.

DPTI apologises for any inconvenience and thanks motorists for their patience.
