Developing leaders in sport
9 September 2016
Congratulations to the eight women from state sport and recreation organisations who have completed the 2016 Developing Women Sports Leaders Program, advancing their sports administration and managerial skills.
The program helps participants in leadership roles, or aspiring to leadership in sport and recreation, to fast track their skills as they seek to be the next generation of senior sport administrators.
Through the program participants have learnt from each other, undertaken a 360 degree feedback process, participated in individual and group coaching sessions and delivered a workplace project relating to their individual interests and aspirations and aligned with the needs of their organisation.
A huge success, this year's participants said they found the program highly beneficial to their career advancement, leadership capacities, and personal and professional well-being.
Applications for the 2017 program will open in October 2016.
