All hands on deck as jetty repairs continue
22 July 2016
Our teams have once again been working tirelessly to assess and repair damage to our jetties as wild weather continues across the state.
Following extensive restoration work carried out after ferocious conditions battered a number of jetties in May, last week another burst of wild weather caused more damage.
Our jetties are a huge drawcard in coastal communities and of great importance to locals and visitors alike, so our crews have worked together with local councils to quickly respond to issues, while keeping safety a top priority.
We’ve received wonderful feedback from the community, particularly on the repair work completed on the Port Germein Jetty which has enabled this iconic landmark to reopen in time for tourists and families to enjoy during the school holidays.
A big thank you to our response crews for their efforts and, as always, we appreciate everyone’s patience and support whilst such works are carried out.
