DPTI Media Alert – Heysen Tunnels (Crafers bound) routine maintenance works - Partial Closure

Motorists are advised there will be a partial closure of the Heysen Tunnel on Friday, 29 July 2016 between 7:00 pm until 3:00 am, Saturday, 30July to cater for essential maintenance works.
The closure is required to allow crews to carry out wall cleaning and essential safety maintenance of electrical systems, including the ventilation, lighting, fire detection and emergency management systems.
Every effort is being made to reduce the impact on motorists by conducting the work to these vital safety systems within the tunnel during off peak times.
The below lane restrictions and applicable detours will be in place:
Partial tunnel closure: 7pm Friday 29 July 2016 to 3am Saturday 30 July 2016
The Crafers bound tunnel, will be closed to all traffic due to routine maintenance works.
Crafers bound traffic will be diverted in contra-flow in the Adelaide bound tunnel.
Speed restrictions will apply
Emergency vehicles will have access to the tunnel at all times
