DPTI Media Alert – Gorge Road closure
22 June 2016
The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) advises that Gorge Road, between Playford Bridge and Torrens Hill Road, will be closed from tomorrow (Thursday, 23 June) with an anticipated re-opening on Friday 24 June 2016, due to forecast inclement weather.
This closure is a precautionary measure in the event that the predicted extraordinary rain may lead to unexpected rock falls.
A detour will be in place via Lower North East Road, North East Road, and Tippet Road to access Cudlee Creek businesses and attractions.
Road users are reminded to take care and drive to the conditions during the forecast weather conditions.
DPTI wishes to thank motorists as well as local businesses and residents for their patience during this time.
