Temporary Lane and Speed Restrictions along South Road

The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) advises motorists that temporary lane and speed restrictions will be in place for the Torrens Road to River Torrens Project this weekend to enable service relocations, trenching and kerbing works to continue.
From 7.00 pm Friday 3 June to 5.00 am Monday 6 June, South Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction and Torrens Road will be reduced to one lane city bound through the South Road and Torrens Road intersection. In addition, at the South Road intersection with Grange Road / Manton Street, traffic will be reduced to one southbound along South Road between Orsmond Street and Manton Street, and one lane in each direction through the Grange Road / Manton Street roundabout between Cator Street and Bacon Street.
From 7.00 am to 5.00 pm on Saturday 4 June traffic along South Road will be reduced to one lane south bound on the approach to Port Road, and along Port Road city bound between South Road and Rose Street. Between 7.00 pm on Friday 3 June and 5.00 am on Monday 6 June traffic along Port Road city bound will be reduced to one lane on the approach to South Road, and traffic travelling northbound along South Road will be reduced to one lane travelling through the Port Road intersection.
Signage will be in place to alert motorists to the changed traffic conditions, and motorists are asked to observe speed limits and drive with care while workers are on site.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow additional time while works are being undertaken.
