Safety Upgrade for Sir Donald Bradman Drive
30 March 2016
The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) is undertaking safety improvements to the Sir Donald Bradman Drive intersection with Brooker Terrace and Bagot Avenue, Cowandilla.
The works include extending the sheltered right turn lanes on both approaches of Sir Donald Bradman Drive and modifying the existing traffic signals to include a new right turn arrow from Bagot Avenue and on both approaches of Sir Donald Bradman Drive.
Works are scheduled to commence on Thursday 31 March 2016 and are expected to be completed by the end of April 2016, weather permitting. The majority of works will occur Monday to Friday, from 7am to 5pm. Should night works be required, adjacent residents will be notified in advance.
Access to adjacent properties will be maintained throughout the works. Temporary lane and speed restrictions will apply during construction and road users are asked to use extra caution when workers are on site.
Pedestrian and cyclist access will also be maintained throughout the works.
The $140 000 project is funded by the Australian Government’s Black Spot Programme.
DPTI thanks road users for their patience and cooperation while these important safety works are undertaken.
