Upgrade at Intersection of Holbrooks & Hartley Road

CONNECT - Message from the Chief Executive

16 February 2016

Safety will soon be improved for motorists with an upgrade at the intersection of Holbrooks Road and Hartley Road/Beatty Street, Flinders Park.

The $100 000 safety initiative is funded by the Australian Government’s Black Spot Programme.

The sheltered right turn lanes will be extended on both approaches to Holbrooks Road for traffic turning into Beatty Street or Hartley Road and new right turn signal arrows will be installed at the intersection to fully control right turns on Holbrooks Road.

Works will also include median realignment, pavement widening and minor changes to line marking.

Works are scheduled to commence on 1 March 2016 and be completed by end of March 2016, weather permitting.

Access to all properties will be maintained during the works, with traffic restricted to one lane under traffic control when required and a 25 km/h speed restriction while workers are on site. Road users are asked to use extra caution when workers are on site.

This project is closely aligned to the Government’s Towards Zero Together Safety Strategy to reduce road trauma through safer roads.

DPTI thanks motorists for their patience while these important safety works are undertaken.
