Beachport Jetty closed for maintenance

CONNECT - Message from the Chief Executive

26 October 2015

The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) will be closing the Beachport Jetty to the public for essential maintenance works.

General maintenance works need to be undertaken to ensure that the jetty remains safe and functional for both commercial and recreational jetty users. Maintenance will be undertaken on the low level landing and jetty deck to prevent tripping hazards as well.

The works will be conducted by Diversified Pty Ltd at an approximate cost $50,000, which is funded from the Maintenance of Fishing Industry Facility.

Works are set to commence on 2 November 2015 for approximately 15 days however the jetty will only be closed to the public for up to five days.

The jetty will be signposted and cordoned off on days when it will fully closed to the public.

DPTI would like to apologise for any inconvenience during this time.
