20 April 2015

The Paringa Bridge lifting span is closed for emergency repairs for approximately two weeks.

The Paringa Bridge spans the River Murray near Renmark. Large vessels will not be able to pass under the bridge until it is repaired and able to be lifted.

The lifting of the Paringa Bridge is expected to return to normal in around two weeks’ time.

Road traffic is not affected and motorists will continue to be able to use the bridge to cross the river.

The Paringa Bridge opens daily at approximately 9.30 am and 2.30 pm.The lifting of the bridge is a free service, however a booking is required to be made prior to the allocated times. The approximate bridge clearance is 3.5 metres which is subject to river level. Height markers are placed at the entrance of the navigation channel to the bridge.

The department thanks users for their patience during this time.
