Extra transport for Adelaide Oval cricket world cup quarter final blockbuster

The Adelaide Oval Express bus, train and tram services will be provided for the quarter final blockbuster when Australia takes on Pakistan in the ICC Cricket World Cup match this Friday, 20 March 2015.
With a large crowd of 40,000 plus expected to see Australia battle it out with Pakistan, fans are reminded to explore all their transport options, plan their travel and allow plenty of time to get to and from the city.
The special Adelaide Oval Express bus services will operate across metropolitan Adelaide from approximately 2 hours prior to the game every 10 minutes to 30 minutes depending on the route. The express buses will drop passengers close to Adelaide Oval along the King William Road bus interchange which will operate for this game. Last express bus services will depart the King William Road bus interchange approximately 30 minutes after the match finishes.
Normal Adelaide Metro fares will apply to regular services as well as the special Adelaide Oval Express bus, train and tram services. Additional capacity will be available for train and tram services where practicable for approximately two hours before the match and additional train and tram services will operate for one hour after the match to a similar frequency to AFL games.
Designated Taxi Zones will be located at Pennington Terrace, King William Road (north of the East Car Park entry point), Montefiore Road and War Memorial Drive for Access Taxis. Taxi ranks will be staffed by concierges to assist passengers. Chauffeured vehicles and mini buses will also available by pre-booking.
The following road closures will be in place to cater for the match crowds:
- War Memorial Drive will close at 10.00am and re-open at 11.00pm
- Pennington Terrace will close at 9.00pm and re-open at 11.00pm
- King William Road will close at 9.00pm and re-open approximately one hour after the end of the match
