Notice to Mariners No. 75 of 2023 (Temporary)

SOUTH AUSTRALIA – SPENCER GULF – POINT LOWLY – RESEARCH EQUIPMENT DEPLOYED

Mariners are advised that a ocean monitoring equipment has been deployed approximately 0.6 nautical miles offshore from Point Lowly for a period of approximately 12 months

This equipment is mounted on triangular frame with base lengths ~1.2 m. The top of the sensor sits about 1.5 m of the seafloor.

No surface buoys are fitted to this equipment.

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the area.
