Notice to Mariners No 58 of 2022 (Temporary)

HARBORS AND NAVIGATION ACT 1993
SOUTH AUSTRALIA – SOUTH EAST –ROBE– RESEARCH EQUIPMENT DEPLOYED
Mariners are advised that research equipment has been deployed at four locations offshore from Robe
Location 1. 37° 08’ 29.5”S 139° 39’ 16.8” E
Location 2. 37° 08’ 53.6”S 139° 46’ 12.0” E
The buoys are marked with a Special Mark yellow and 600mm in diameter, spherical shape with a spar 900mm above the surface of the water.
A yellow flashing light Fl Y 2.5s, range 1 nautical mile is fitted on both above locations.
The research equipment will be deployed for up to 5 years.
Locations 3 & 4 below have no surface expression and are 0.7m above the sea floor.
And will be deployed December 22 to March 2023 & June to August 2023
Location 3. 37° 08’ 29.4”S 139°44’ 49.6”E
Location 4. 37° 08’ 47.1”S 139°44’ 49.7”E
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the area.
